On March 1 at 10 PM, Independent Lens on PBS with broadcast Sisters of ‘77, an amazing one-hour documentary that goes back to the historic National Women’s Conference held in Houston in November of 1977. Featuring such luminaries as Betty Friedan, Bella Abzug, Eleanor Smeal, Gloria Steinem, Ann Richards and more, SISTERS OF ‘77 shows us what was, what worked and what went wrong in the women’s movement during that important year.
